HVFC & Ambulance Companies Respond to Two Calls for Emergency Services

(September 2, 2023) — Haddam Volunteer Fire Company started the month of September 2023 with two calls for emergency services. First, at 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 1st, crews were dispatched to a residence on Little City Road for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival, first responders investigated the scene and determined no fire was present. The call was cleared without incident.

At 4:30 p.m., HVFC responded to the intersection of Killingworth Road and Hidden Lake Road for a motor vehicle accident. Two patients were transported via Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service and Killingworth Volunteer Ambulance Service to Middlesex Hospital with minor injuries. Both lanes of traffic on Killingworth Road (near the accident) were closed and traffic was diverted.

Connecticut State Police are investigating.
